All applications must include separate checks for the $10.00 non-refundable jury fee and the $100.00 participantís fee. The participant fee will not be banked by the Cruise committee until the artist is accepted and will be returned to the artist if they are not accepted.
A completed Minnesota sales tax form ST-19 must also be submitted with the application. Sales tax numbers can be on-line obtained at http://www.taxes.state.mn.us/taxes/index.shtml .
The deadline for application is 4/1/2009 (postmark) and all artists will be notified of their status no later than 4/21/2009.
Mail application, jury CD, form ST-19 and fees to: Bemidji – First City of the Arts c/o Chamber of Commerce P.O. Box 850, Bemidji, MN. 56619 ñ 0850.
Make checks payable to BCAC and memo ëStudio Cruise 2009í.

Agreement:
I understand that this is a working studio event and I will be demonstrating my process during each day of the Cruise.
I understand that the application process is comprised of two parts. The first is a jury review of five images of the type of work I will be exhibiting and demonstrating at my studio during the event and if it is found to meet the qualifications set forth by the jury, the second part of the application process will be a review of my studio to ensure that it meets the minimum requirements set forth by the event steering committee and will include providing proof of liability insurance to cover the public during the event activity at that site.
Upon acceptance as a participating artist/craftsperson into the event I agree to fully comply with all rules and guidelines established by the steering committee. I also agree to allow the selected image of my work to be utilized for promotional purposes by the event organizers.

The First City of Arts Studio Cruise is an opportunity for the public to visit artist’s studios and for artists to visit with interested patrons. The cruise will include artist studios within a 40 mile radius of Bemidji. The event will take place October 16, 17, and 18, 2009

Bemidji – First City of Arts Studio Cruise 2009

Calling all artists with studios within a 40 mile radius of Bemidji, Minnesota, applications are now being taken for the Bemidji – First City of Arts Studio Cruise 2009.

The ‘Cruise’ is an opportunity for artists to invite the public into their studios and showcase their art and craft.  This interaction serves to strengthen the public’s awareness of the creative process while providing the artist an opportunity to learn first hand the public’s perception of their work as well as the potential for direct sales and commissions.

Studio Cruise Dates are October 16, 17 & 18, 2009.  Deadline for all applications is postmark by April 1, 2009.  Fees include $10 non-refundable jury fee and $100 participation fee.

Interested artists are encouraged to apply by completing the application available on-line at the Bemidji Community Art Center (BCAC) website http://bcac.wordpress.com/ or the ‘Cruise’ weblog at http://firstcityartcruise.wordpress.com/
